A short list of things that do not get negotiated.
These are the rules the work is built on. They come from a decade of running the firm, not from a workshop.
- 01
Message, person, moment.
There is no universal campaign. The work is the right message, to the right people, at a moment they can act. Everything else is inventory.
- 02
Order is the product.
Attention to simplicity is a core value of the firm for a reason. Companies do not need more motion. They need a path a new person can see without a tour.
- 03
A tool is not a system.
Software, models, and media plans are components. A system has an owner, a cadence, a prohibition, and a way to know it is telling the truth.
- 04
Mission over margins.
Client success is the business. Hope, a community, a faith. Those get our best work even when the invoice would not impress a banker.
- 05
Compounding beats theater.
Constant improvement is quieter than a rebrand. A page that gets truer, a follow-up that gets faster, a report an owner will actually read. That is the dent.
- 06
The principal stays in the work.
Servant leadership is not a poster. It is being close enough to the problem that the recommendation has fingerprints on it. I do not rent out my name and disappear. A long week is a private standard. It is not a method anyone is asked to applaud.
“Magnifying online also extends to non-profit organizations. If we can help amplify a message of hope, we’re determined to do so.”
Brandon Bernicky, on the record with Exeleon Magazine
